We’re proud to partner with Rochester Area Community Foundation to help open doors for local students preparing to attend Historically Black Colleges and Universities this fall. The Baldwin Richardson Foods Frederick Douglass HBCU Classic Scholarship is our way of investing in the leaders of tomorrow. This scholarship opportunity is available to all Rochester, NY students who meet the application criteria and are ready to take the next step in their educational journey. The scholarships are awarded through the Rochester Community Foundation Consolidated Scholarship Application using established guidelines.

BRF FD HBCU Football Classic: A Day to Remember
The Baldwin Richardson Foods Frederick Douglass HBCU Football Classic brought thousands together at the Rochester Community Sports Complex for a day filled with tradition and pride. From the spirited matchup between Central State and Lane College to the high-energy halftime marching band performances, the event showcased the very best of HBCU culture, community, and celebration.
HBCU College Expo 2025: Opportunity in Action
On September 25, 2025, the Baldwin Richardson Foods Frederick Douglass HBCU College Expo brought 1,600 students to the Blue Cross Arena. More than 900 students received on-the-spot college acceptances, and $6 million in scholarships were awarded — a powerful day of access, achievement, and HBCU pride.
