The Baldwin Richardson Foods Frederick Douglass HBCU Football Classic is a
multi-day celebration of education, culture, and community — honoring the legacy of HBCUs through football, fellowship, and empowerment. Held in Rochester, NY, the weekend features a College Expo, Pep Rally, Tailgate Party, Game Day showdown, and the fan-favorite Battle of the Bands.
This annual event brings together students, alumni, families, and supporters from across the region to uplift HBCU pride and create unforgettable memories.

Be a part of something bigger! We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to help bring the Baldwin Richardson Foods Frederick Douglass HBCU Football Classic Weekend to life — happening September 25–27, 2025 in Rochester, NY.
This exciting multi-day experience includes:

College Expo – Thursday, September 25
10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Blue Cross Arena

Tailgate Party – Saturday, September 27
8:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Rochester Community Sports Complex

Game Day: Central State vs. Lane College – Saturday, September 27
1:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Gates open at 12:00 PM) at Rochester Community Sports Complex

Battle of the Bands – Saturday, September 27
4:30 PM – 6:00 PM at Rochester Community Sports Complex
Volunteers are essential to creating a safe, organized, and enjoyable experience for all. Whether you’re assisting with logistics, supporting event operations, or helping with guest services, your time and commitment are truly appreciated.
